Three fishermen from Barbate: Manuel (Pablo Carbonell), a good man nicknamed "Swimming with Cuttlefish"; El Perra (Pedro Reyes), his faithful friend; and El Cherif (Antonio Dechent), an angry yet proud outcast, try to survive as best they can despite the fishing crisis on the Cádiz coast. One day, Manuel's son, Manolín (Andrés Rivera), comes home with yet another problem: he wants to take communion. Something that will cause more than a few surprises. First, because he isn't baptized, and second, because his parents aren't even married. Infected by their son's enthusiasm, María and Manuel decide to get their lives in order and get married. María organizes everything: she arranges for the town's unique priest (Paco Vegara) to officiate the ceremony, finds the outfits, invites the neighbors... But of course, no wedding is complete without a banquet. And that costs money. How do you get it?
