Santiago Aguilar Alvear (1959) is a Spanish director and screenwriter, member of La Cuadrilla alongside Luis Guridi. He has a degree in Image Sciences from the Faculty of Information Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid. Between 1985 and 1995 he worked as a documentarian at the Spanish Film Library, where he collaborated in the computerized management of the collections. He currently still collaborates with the Film Library and is completing a master's degree in cultural management at the Carlos III University.
