Takamasa Ōe (大江崇允, Ōe Takamasa?), born in 1981 in Ikeda, Osaka Prefecture, Japan, is a Japanese film director and screenwriter. Takamasa Ōe studied theater arts at Kindai University, then wrote and directed several plays. Since 2018, he has also worked as a screenwriter for film and television. In 2019, he made his feature film directorial debut with Asurīto: Ore ga kare ni oboreta hibi. In 2021, Takamasa Ōe and Ryūsuke Hamaguchi won the Screenplay Award at the Cannes Film Festival for Ryūsuke Hamaguchi's Drive My Car. The following year, they were nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for the same film.
